Alaska School Health Partnership

RMC Health partners with the State of Alaska Department of Health to support the health and well-being of students in underserved and disproportionately affected communities. Through this five-year CDC-funded initiative, RMC Health helps Alaska schools and districts integrate evidence-based policies and practices aligned to the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model to create healthier environments for students to thrive.

Alaska School Safety & Well-Being Summit

Educational leaders, key staff, and strategic stakeholders, including representation from every district across the state, will convene to improve school safety and well-being in Alaska by both learning and sharing methods to: Promote healthy development, improve school climate, and be better prepared for any possible school crisis.

Travel funding will be available for each district.

Wellness Policy Resources

A local school wellness policy (also known as Student Nutrition and Physical Activity policy) is a written document that guides a school district's efforts to establish a school environment that promotes students' health, well-being, and ability to learn.

All districts participating in the National School Lunch Program and/or School Breakfast Program are required to have adopted a local wellness policy. These model policies are intended to provide a framework for developing a wellness policy at the local level.
